The Pulsar Project

The cheap and not very charming stock Bajai Pulsar 200cc becomes something precious in the hands of IRONic, talented metal worker in Hyderabad.

A new full aluminium handmade bodywork and fairing and smart paintwork by Parabol Paint Studio are the distinctive aspects of this work which basically implied an entire reconstruction of the stock bike. "Over the course of two and a half years - our Indian hero says - this has been the most ambitious, frustrating and rewarding project I've done. What started as a simple challenge to teach myself to shape and weld aluminium has made me use every ounce of creativity and metal working skill I had. This bike, which is by no means perfect, however has become a reflection of my journey as an artist/fabricator/blacksmith/welder. And there is still a long way to go. Ten years later I want to look back to this as the ugliest bike I've built". And, if this is the first attempt, we are all looking forward for admiring the next builds!

La nuova carrozzeria e la carenatura interamente in alluminio battuto a mano, nonchè la bella verniciatura di Parabol Paint Studio sono gli aspetti distintivi di questo lavoro che ha implicitamente implicato la ricostruzione dell'intera moto di serie. "Nel corso di due anni e mezzo - dice il nostro eroe indiano - questo è stato il progetto più ambizioso, frustrante e gratificante che abbia realizzato. Quella che era iniziata come una semplice sfida per insegnare a me stesso a modellare e saldare l'alluminio mi ha fatto usare ogni grammo di creatività e abilità nella lavorazione dei metalli che avevo. Questa bici, che non è affatto perfetta, è tuttavia diventata un riflesso del mio viaggio come artista / costruttore / fabbro / saldatore. E c'è ancora molta strada da fare. Dieci anni dopo voglio guardare indietro a questa come alla bici più brutta che ho costruito". E, se questo è il primo tentativo, non vediamo l'ora di ammirare le prossime realizzazioni!
