Sagari's Ironhead

1970 Harley Davidson IronHead 

Found in Rome by a collector who had purchased it in the United States, this bike was really in poor conditions. The original frame was used as a cast and rebuilt from scratch. The engine is stock with Morris magnet. S&S Shorty carburetor, iron muffler, custom-made handlebar, new headlight, leather seat as in the hypercar, with alcantara insert on the top. The oil tank has been modified to follow the rear wheel line, with an appropriate protection. On the original crankcases there are still the signs of the time that give the engine a worn look. The yellow-black colors resume the color schemes of the bombers from the 40's. The retro style returns on the thin wheels and 50's shapes of the rear fender. The ignition is, of course, with the kickstarter, aluminum made. 

Ritirata a Roma da un collezionista che l'aveva ricevuta dagli Stati Uniti, era davvero malridotta. Il telaio originale è stato utilizzato  come dima e ricostruito da zero. Il motore è di serie con Magneto Morris. Carburatore S&S Shorty, marmitta in ferro, manubrio realizzato su misura, nuovo faro, sella in pelle come nelle ipercar, con inserto in  alcantara sulla seduta. Il serbatoio dell'olio è stato modificato per seguire la linea della ruota, con apposita protezione. Sui carter originali sono rimasti i segni del tempo che danno un aspetto vissuto. I colori giallo-neri riprendono le livree dei bombardieri anni '40. Lo stile retrò ritorna nelle ruote sottili e nelle forme anni '50 del parafango posteriore. L'accensione è, ovviamente, a pedivella, in alluminio.
