Besides the volcano

Built besides the Vesuvio by the talented Nicola Sorrentino,
a rough 1983 CB750F with an interesting monoshock conversion and custom exhausts.

As usual in this kind of builds, the bike was stripped down to the bones and the tail was cut. The frame was repainted and the tail rebuilt with a new shape to match the lines of the vintage fuel tank, modified, sand blasted and left to rust to get the aged look Nicola was looking for. A new Yamaha R1 front end was added, while the new rear end comes from a Ducati Monster 1100 with its single side swingarm, Ohlins mono, and Marchesini rim... Mean machine. 

Come è normale in questo tipo di trasformazioni, la moto è stata interamente smontata e il telaio riverniciato e la coda tagliata. Il telaio sottosella è stato ricostruito a mano con una nuova forma per abbinarsi alle linee del serbatoio d'epoca, modificato, sabbiato e lasciato arrugginire per ottenere l'effetto anticato. L'avantreno è stato sostituito con quello di una Yamaha R1 mentre il nuovo retrotreno arriva da una Ducati Monster 1100, con forcellone monobraccio, mono Ohlins e cerchio Marchesini... Una macchina da guerra.
