R Nine T by Michael Hammer 

“It was in the first months of the year that a friend of mine came up to me and asked me if I’d fancy to customize a R nineT. He explained to me that the German actor Hardy Krüger Jr. was looking for a Cafe Racer in polished aluminum. Of course I liked what I heard and that I could finally get the chance to work with a R nineT. Hardy Krüger Jr., the guys of Motorradhaus Ebert and I met for the first time in Höchberg and I got the commission. By the middle of March I started the project. All the new parts (fairing, fenders, tail) were handmade out of 2mm thin aluminium plates. The brackets were built out of stainless steel. The bike was then finished by Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Exhaust Systems, who also gave the bike the right sound. We first showed the bike in the south in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the BMW Motorraddays where we had a lot of fun.” Michael Hammer

"All’inizio dell'anno, un amico mi ha chiesto se avevo voglia di personalizzare una Nine T. Mi ha spiegato che l'attore tedesco Hardy Krüger Jr. era alla ricerca di un Cafè Racer in alluminio lucidato. L’idea mi è subito piaciuta perché avrei finalmente potuto lavorare su una Nine T. Hardy Krüger Jr., i ragazzi di Motorradhaus Ebert e io ci siamo incontrati per la prima volta a Höchberg e ho ottenuto l'incarico. Entro metà marzo ho iniziato. Tutte le nuove parti (cupolino, parafanghi, coda) sono stati fatti a mano da lastre di alluminio da 2mm. Le staffe sono state costruite in acciaio inossidabile. La moto è stata finita da Dr. Jekyll e Mr. Hyde Exhaust Systems, che hanno anche dato alla moto il suono giusto. Abbiamo presentato la moto a Garmisch-Partenkirchen, ai BMW Motorraddays, dove ci ha fatto davvero divertire."  Michael Hammer
