Readers' rides: GS1100 by Satora Design

Hervé Lurton built this special scrambler from a 1994 BMW 1100 GS, making her loosing almost 60 kg... A perfect dietician!

Hervé Lurton ha realizzato questa scrambler partendo da una GS 1100 del 1994 e facendole perdere quasi 60 kg... Un perfetto dietologo! 

The bike has been entirely built by Hervé in his small workshop in Quiberon - Brittany, named Satora Design. The similarity of the solutions adopted, and even the color of this bike with the R1150 built by Bottega Bastarda from Forli and introduced in Verona are remarkable. I would tend to rule out that between the two manufacturers there was a transfer of ideas, I would rather tend to conclude that good ideas often come to more than one person. Hervé is not a professional, but would like to start an organized business. Let’s wait for his future builds.

La moto è stata interamente auto costruita da Hervé nella sua piccola officina a Quiberon in Bretagna: la Satora Design. E’ notevole la somigilanza delle soluzioni adottate e persino del colore di questa moto con la R1150 realizzata da Bottega Bastarda di Forlì e presentata a Verona. Tenderei a escludere che tra i due costruttori ci sia stato un travaso di idee, ma tenderei a concludere che le buone idee spesso arrivano a più di una persona. Hervé non è un professionista, ma vorrebbe avviare un’attività organizzata. Attendiamo le sue future realizzazioni.
