Yamaha XVS 650 Drag Star  by Made Man Bikes

Another splendid lakester hardtail from our friends in Denmark. The donor bike, a 1997 quite Yama Drag Star 650, has been heavily modified to meet the targets of this ambitious project. Around 80% of the frame was rebuilt and converted from dual to single backbone and rigid frame. The latter was dressed with an extremely classic bodywork featuring a custom fitted British road racing fairing, an AMF HD 'Rapido' 125cc gas tank, a fake oil tank - used to accomodate the electrics (which was provided with new cables and components) - and a handmade sexy metal tail with a Rodder Finned tail light accomodating the custom minimal seat. At the front end we have a lovely springer fork with a ThreeTwoChoppers wishbone and spring stabilizer kit and a new 21" rim, with mini drum brake, wearing an Avon Speedmaster Mk2. At the rear end we have a 15" rim wearing a Goodyear Eagle Front Runner.  New 40mm Mikuni HS40 carbs were mounted to improve performance together with Pan Cake intake filters and handmade exhausts with brass tips to make the engine breath properly and in style.  Other class details are the Legacy Cycle Parts brass risers, the custom middle controls, new "vintage” HD Levers,  classy brass kickstart and foot pegs, Arlen Ness grips, Panis Cycles Throttle clamp and much more. 

Un'altra splendida Lakester rigida dai nostri amici Danesi. La base, una tranquilla Yamaha Drag Star 650 del 1997, è stata pesantemente modificata per raggiungere gli obiettivi di questo ambizioso progetto. Circa l'80% del telaio è stato ricostruito e convertito da doppio trave centrale a backbone singolo e retrotreno rigido. Il lavoro è stato rivestito con una carrozzeria estremamente classica comprendente carenatura da corsa in stile British fatta a mano, serbatoio di una AMF HD 'Rapido' 125cc, falso serbatoio dell'olio - utilizzato per accogliere l'impianto elettrico (che è stato fornito con nuovi cavi e componenti) - e una sexy coda artigianale con luce Rodder Finned sede della sella custom minimalista. All'avantreno troviamo una bella forcella Springer con un braccio oscillante e kit di stabilizzazione molla ThreeTwoChoppers e un nuovo cerchio da 21", con mini freno a tamburo, e pneu Avon Speedmaster Mk2. Al retrotreno abbiamo un cerchio da 15" che veste Goodyear Eagle Front Runner. Nuovi carburatori da 40 millimetri Mikuni sono stati montati per migliorare le prestazioni con filtri di aspirazionePan Cake e scarichi fatti a mano con puntali in ottone per far respirare il motore al meglio e... con stile. Altri particolari di classe sono i risers in ottone Legacy Cycle Parts, i comandi personalizzati, le nuove leve "vintage" HD, il kickstart e le pedane in ottone, le manopole Arlen Ness, il comando gas Panis Cycles e molto altro ancora.
