Kott's Ink Blue 350

This beautiful 1969 CB 350 Twin was built by Dustin Kott of Kott Motorcycles in L.A. two years ago, but for some reasons it didn't appear on Inazuma Cafe. But now it's time to fill this gap.

This bike, received the fuel tank from a late 70's Suzuki for a larger capacity. The frame has been properly modified and the rear sets are hand cut. The seat has been custom built in the Kott Motorcycles style, using round bar and sheet steel. The oversized tank is in scale with the small tail section, as a throwback to the famed T.T. Manx racers. The 4 1/2" headlight is an Italian-made CEV. Kott extended the individual exhaust pipes, to create a more angular, aggressive exhaust stance. The powder-coated black wheels have been fitted with stainless spokes and polished hubs, which bring new life to the rolling chassis. Overall, the weight of the bike is now around 346lb (157kg). Dustin Kott says that it is always a challenge to have a blue finish on any machine that does not lend itself to a purple hue. This bike has been nicknamed the 'Ink blue 350' for its deep blue nearly black color.

Questa bellissima CB350 bicilindrica del 1969 è stata realizzata da Dustin Kott di Kott Motorcycles a Los Angeles due anni fa, ma per qualche motivo non era ancora apparsa sull'Inazuma Cafe. Ma è giunto il momento di colmare questa lacuna. Questa moto ha ricevuto il serbatoio di una Suzuki fine anni 70 per avere maggiore capacità. Il telaio è stato opportunamente modificato e le pedane sono state ricavate a mano. La sella è stata realizzata appositamente in stile Kott, con anello di chisura del telaio e base in lamiera d'acciaio. Il serbatoio maggiorato è armonizzato con il codino minimal, richiamando le mitiche TT Manx. Il faro di soli 11,5 cm è un CEV fatto in Italia. Kott ha poi allungato i terminali di scarico per dare un look più aggressivo con i tubi angolati verso l'alto. Le ruote verniciate a polvere nera sono state dotate di raggi inox e mozzi lucidati, che danno splendore alla ciclistica. Nel complesso, il peso della moto è ora intorno ai 157kg. Dustin Kott dice che è sempre una sfida realizzare una verniciatura in bluche non viri al viola. Questa moto è stato chiamata 'Inchiostro blu 350' per il suo intenso tono di blu, quasi nero.
