GSX1250 Bandit - Project 101 "Fatmile"

Born from an initiative of Suzuki International Europe, the FatMile has been built by the young designer Daniel Händler under the guidance of the legendary designer of the Suzuki Katana: Hans A. Muth. The work was performed by the two designers in line with one of the most classic principles of Japanese school: the sublimation of the relationship between the master and the Student: the co-operation between Senpai and Kohei. The donor bike is the latest version of the iconic motorcycle from Hamamatsu, powered by the 1250 cc liquid-cooled. Changes made do not conceal the original bike and consisted mainly of the front end optimization and simplification of the tail lines, which are a modern interpretation of the classic cafe racer style. The race number 101 painted on the tail is a tribute to Glemseck 101, perhaps the biggest Cafe Racer festival in Europe, ongoing during this week end, during which the bike will be officially presented.

Nata da una iniziativa della Suzuki International Europe, la FatMile è opera del giovane progettista Daniel Händler e della guida del leggendario progettista della Suzuki Katana: Hans A. Muth. Il lavoro è stato eseguito in collaborazione tra i due, seguendo la più classica delle combinazioni della scuola giapponese: la sublimazione del rapporto Senpai-Kohei. La base è l’ultima versione dell’iconica moto di Hamamatsu, motorizzata con il 1250 cc raffreddato a liquido. Le modifiche non ne celano l’origine e riguardano principalmente l’avantreno ottimizzato e la semplificazione delle linee della coda, che interpretano in chiave moderna lo stile cafe racer. Il numero di gara 101 riportato sulla coda è un omaggio all’evento Glemseck 101, forse la più grande festa Cafe Racer d’Europa, in corso in queste ore, durante le quali la moto sarà presentata ufficialmente.
