"I wanted to rebuild the legendary 1028 Guzzi Norge giving it the modern chassis of the V7 series. I didn’t want to build a replica, but rather recall the style, and the colours, which identified the Moto Guzzi in those years. The bike is equipped with the latest 850cc engine of the V7 series. Despite its imposing size, its handling is excellent, while maintaining the Guzzi characteristics. The original California I chose for this project was lightened by as much as 60 kg. Fuel is supplied by the famous SS carburetors with separate tank, specifically assembled for this twin. Much time was spent to build the parallelogram rear suspension with separate springs". “Ho voluto ricostruire la leggendaria Guzzi Norge prodotta nel 1928, dotandola di una ciclistica più moderna come quella della serie V7. Non ho voluto realizzare una replica, bensì richiamare le caratteristiche stilistiche, e la colorazione, che identificavano le Moto Guzzi in quegli anni. E’ equipaggiata con l’ultimo motore serie V7 di 850cc. Nonostante la mole imponente è estremamente maneggevole, pur mantenendo le caratteristiche di casa Guzzi. Il California originale da cui sono partito è stato alleggerito di ben 60 kg. L’alimentazione è affidata ai famosi carburatori SS con vaschetta separata, assemblati espressamente per questo bicilindrico. Molto tempo è stato impiegato per costruire la sospensione posteriore a parallelogramma con molle separate”. Roberto Totti
