1975 Yamaha XS650 "The Mexican" by Macco Motors

Sergio is a Spanish engineer living in Mexico since several years. Fan of Macco Motors, he asked our friends to build him the right bike. Despite the fact that Yamaha XS650 had never been imported to Spain, they found him one of these bikes on the Spanish classifieds. Although it appeared a good deal, more in depth examinations revealed that the bike was in really bad conditions. So Jose and Tito decided to rebuild it from scratch and give her a personal Brat look. Since Sergio wanted his bike to be a kind of tribute to Mexico, in order to mitigate the old British look given to the build, the team completed the work painting a Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec feathered serpent, on the fuel tank. Sergio è un ingegnere spagnolo che vive in Messico da anni, appassionato delle special di Macco Motors e ha chiesto ai nostri amici di costruirgli la moto giusta. Nonostante la Yamaha XS650 non è mai stata importata in Spagna, loro gliene hanno trovata una sugli annunci dell’usato. Anche se sembrava un buon affare, un più attento esame ha rivelato che la moto era invece davvero in cattive condizioni. Così Jose e Tito hanno deciso di ricostruirla da zero e darle un Brat look personale. Dal momento che Sergio voleva che la sua moto fosse una sorta di omaggio al Messico, per temperare il vecchio look britannico dato alla special, il team ha completato l’opera con un Quetzalcoatl, il serpente piumato azteco, dipinto sul serbatoio del carburante.
