The Kawasaki Z440 twin followed the production of its more popular progenitor Z400 and was marketed from 1980 until 1985. As it can be seen, the chassis of this bike has been heavily modified. At the rear end, the original swingarm and the twin shock absorbers have been removed and a new trelly swingarm with monoshock has been mounted. The front end has been entirely substituted and a new inverted fork has been added. The 17"wheels and fat knobby tires are also part of this customization as well as the new custom exhausts. Finally, the bodywork has been entirely rebuilt in order to have an aggressive scrambler custom. And, apparently, the work is still in process...
La bicilindrica Kawasaki Z440 fece seguito alla produzione della sua più popolare progenitrice Z400 ed è stata venduta dal 1980 al 1985. Non vi sarà sfuggito quanto la ciclistica di questa moto sia stata profondamente modificata. Al retrotreno, il forcellone originale e la coppia di ammortizzatori originali sono stati rimossi e al loro posto sono stati montati un nuovo forcellone a traliccio con monoammortizzatore. L'avantreno è stato interamente sostituito ed è stata aggiunta una nuova forcella rovesciata. I nuovi cerchi sono da 17" e dotati di grossi pneumatici tassellati. Nuovo anche lo scarico custom con un inedito percorso. Infine, la carrozzeria è stata interamente ricostruita in modo da conferire la giusta aggressività a questa scrambler custom. E, a quanto pare, il lavoro è ancora in corso...
