Volker's DR 750 Big

We talked about the amazing Suzuki Big just few days ago. Volker Schmidt, from Germany, thought that its big single deserved something better than “to toil in an obese enduro”. So he stripped down the bike to its frame and modified the tail, chose a 12 litre tank of a Yamaha SR500 and installed a cafe racer seat. He then added supermoto wheels (front 3.5 x 17 x 120; rear 4.5 x 17 x 150). The electric system has been simplified and hidden under the tank. The fork has been improved with a new kit and Wilbers springs. All the details, like the front light, turn signals, handlebar, mirrors, etc. were changed. The single cylinder 727 cc sings through a stainless steel Devil exhaust. The result is this 170Kg street tracker that Volker says is fantastic to drive on winding country roads. Anche Volker Schmidt, in Germania, deve aver pensato che il suo grande mono meritasse qualcosa di meglio di "faticare in un enduro obeso". Così ha smontato completamente la moto sino al telaio e modificato la coda, ha scelto un serbatoio da 12 litri di una Yamaha SR500 e installato un sedile cafe racer. Ha poi aggiunto ruote supermotard (anteriore 3,5 x 17 x 120; posteriore 4,5 x 17 x 150). L'impianto elettrico è stato semplificato e nascosto sotto il serbatoio. La forcella di serie ha una nuova idraulica con molle Wilbers. Tutti i dettagli come la luce anteriore, frecce, manubrio, specchi, ecc sono stati cambiati. Il monocilindrico 727 cc canta attraverso uno scarico Devil in acciaio inox.
