Noruell... Yes another one

Here we have another Nor-uell: an heavily modified HD883/1200 engine on a Norton feather bed frame with Buell front and rear end. Entirely home made, this bike was one of the finalists at Built in Britain 2012 MCN contest... More in the rest of this post.

The engine is from a 1989 Harley 883 Sportster with 1200 cc conversion high compression Wiseco pistons, polished inlet tract, Screaming Eagle cams fuelled by an S&S super carb, it breaths through a stainless steel exhaust system. The custom oil tank, under slung, is air cooled. The frame is a 1962 Norton Slimline feather bed, modified one inch wider at back end to accommodate chain run and rear cylinder head. The sub frame is custom made. The front end is from a 1998 Buell S3T. The headlight and brackets are Lucas. At the rear end we find a 150 tyre on stock Buell wheel, swing arm and shock absorber modified by owner. The alloy tank is custom as well as the handmade alloy tail which covers the reengineered electric system. If the builder is reading, I would be happy to publish his name. Bravo.

Il motore è di un Harley 883 Sportster del 1989 portato a 1200 cc. con pistoni Wiseco ad alta compressione, condotti di aspirazione lucidati e camme Screeming Eagle, alimentato da un Supercarb S&S. Lo scarico è in acciaio inox. Il serbatoio olio artigianale, sotto telaio, è raffreddato ad aria. Il telaio è un Norton feather bed slimline, allargato in coda di un pollice per ospitare la trasmissione finale e la testa del cilindro posteriore. Il telaio sottosella è artigianale. L’avantreno è di una Buell S3T del 1998. Il faro e le staffe sono Lucas. All'estremità posteriore troviamo un pneumatico da 150 su cerchio Buell, come il forcellone e il mono modificato dal proprietario. Il serbatoio è custom in alluminio come il codino fatto a mano che copre l'impianto elettrico riprogettato. Se il costruttore ci sta leggendo, mi piacerebbe poter pubblicare il suo nome. Bravo.
