Pure caffeine by Jerikan

From Nice, Jérémy Semmel of Jerikan Motorcycles has just wrote me about the last piece of his collection of wonders.

A 1981 BMW R65 completely rebuilt in an elegant cafe style. At the moment, Jerikan is definitely one of my favorite builders... And God only knows how much making this concession to a trans-alp cousin costs to me! In addition, I don’t think it’s a secret that BMW motorcycles have never driven me crazy. But the fact that I carry on posting beautiful beemers should also let you understand that I’m changing my mind and convincing myself that old BMW have a unique charm. Da Nizza, Jérémy Semmel di Jerikan Motorcycles mi comunica l’ultimo arrivo nella sua collezione di meraviglie. Una BMW R65 del 1981 completamente ricostruita in elegantissima chiave cafè. Al momento Jerikan è decisamente uno dei miei costruttori preferiti… E Dio solo sa quanto mi costa fare una concessione del genere ad un cugino d’oltralpe! In più, che io non sia mai andato matto per le BMW non credo sia un segreto. Ma il fatto che continui a pubblicare splendide beemer dovrebbe anche lasciarvi intendere quanto mi stia ricredendo e convincendo che le vecchie BMW hanno un fascino ineguagliabile. Complete repainting by "Ortolani Peinture": glossy black frame; polished tank protected by a phosphatized grey layer, covered with a golden layer under a chocolate brown finishing, finally sandblasted to give the aged look. Polished swingarm, fork and triple clamps. Exhausts and the engine subject to high temperature painting. R100 tank, vintage brass cap. Eco-leather custom seat by "NMB Design" with dark brown stitching. 33 cm Progressive rear shocks. 44HP model style customized airbox. LSL handlebar. MST speedster vintage speedometer in a solid brass case. Carbon braided pipelines. Bates replica headlight and taillight. Bullett led indicators. Knobs by Brooks. Fork covers. Vintage double megaphone reconditioned. Oil temperature plug indicator. Firestone whees.

Principali interventi. Ricostruzione completa della meccanica e dell’impianto elettrico. Telaio sottosella accorciato. Completa riverniciatura di "Ortolani Peinture": telaio nero lucido; serbatoio lucidato e protetto da uno strato di fosfatazione grigio, ricoperto da uno strato d'oro e da uno color cioccolato con sabbiatura finale per dare l’aspetto invecchiato. Lucidatura forcellone, forcella e piastre di sterzo. Verniciatura dei collettori di scarico e del motore ad alta temperatura. Serbatoio R100 adattato con tappo in ottone. Sella artigianale "NMB Design" in ecopelle con cuciture marrone scuro. Ammortizzatori posteriori Progressive da 33 cm. Airbox modificato come modello precedente. Manubrio LSL. Tachimetro MST speedster vintage con cassa in ottone. Tubi in treccia aeronautica in carbonio. Faro e fanalino di coda Bates replica. Frecce a led tipo bullett. Manopole Brooks. Soffietti forcella. Doppio terminale vintage cono e controcono con interni in lana ceramica interamente ricondizionati. Tappo olio con indicatore di temperatura. Pneu Firestone.

Finally, I asked Jérémy if he had something to add to my article about this bike... I liked very much the answer: "I'm not that kind of man who have a story to tell about the machine. As you see i don't give a name to my bikes. It's just a bike I build the way like". Ok, Jem, I did it for you: Pure Caffeine!

Infine, ho chiesto Jérémy se voleva aggiungere qualcosa al mio articolo su questa moto ... La risposta mi è piaciuta: "Io non sono quel tipo di persona che ha una storia da raccontare su una macchina.
