The Thai Stallion

The Centaur Sport Classic is a commuter motorcycle produced by the Thai manufacturer Stallion.

It has a classic-retro look but modern safety standards and is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 147cc: around 14 horsepower at the rear wheel and a torque of 13.2Nm, which is enough to propel the 132kg motorcycle. At Zeus in Bangkok (yes, Zeus, not Deus please), in Thailand, they are specialized in custom modifications of this bike… Cheap but fashionable, after all is something that we miss in Europe (Mash motorcycles made in China and distributed by the French brand is something similar but still too expensive compared to a good used bike) and that I would probably happy to ride during the summer weekends at the seaside.

La Centaur Sport Classic è una moto utilitaria prodotta dal costruttore thailandese Stallion con un look retrò-classico ma con standard di sicurezza moderni. E’ motorizzata da un monocilindrico raffreddato ad aria a 4 tempi di 147cc, circa 14 cavalli alla ruota e una coppia di 13.2Nm, sufficiente per spingere i 132kg della moto. Alla Zeus di Bangkok (sì, ho detto bene: Zeus e non Deus, per favore) in Thailandia, sono specializzati nella customizzazione di questo modello... Economico ma alla moda, dopo tutto è qualcosa che manca in Europa (le Mash costruite in Cina e distribuite dal marchio francese sono qualcosa di simile, ma ancora troppo costose rispetto ad una buona moto usata) e che sarei probabilmente felice di guidare durante i fine settimana al mare.
