Readers' rides: CB400 by Zucconi

This 1980 CB400N has been owned by Marcio Maidame’s family for more than 15 years.

“It was my father's bike, and I ended up taking her for me. Since I watched the movie 'Femme Fatale', I fell in love with the cafe-racer bikes, and I ended up discovering that one of the most respected motorcycle customizers of Brazil was based in my town (Sao Paulo - Brasil). So I met José Zucconi and his son, Thiago Zucconi, at their garage and, after one year, we completed the project. The guys at Zucconi Moto Design rebuilt the bike almost entirely. The gas tank was handmade by José Zucconi, they remold the chassis, adapted the suspensions and brakes. The chrome-nox painting was made by Liqueri Special Paintings. Once ready, because of the intense brightness of the painting, we named the bike ‘Shine’ .”

Questa CB400N del 1980 è della famiglia di Marcio Maidame da più di 15 anni. "E 'stata la moto di mio padre, e ho finito per tenerla per me. Da quando ho visto il film 'Femme Fatale', mi sono innamorato delle moto cafè-racer, e ho finito per scoprire che uno dei più noti customizer del Brasile è nella mia città (Sao Paulo - Brasil). Così ho incontrato José Zucconi e suo figlio, Thiago Zucconi, al loro garage  e, dopo un anno, abbiamo completato il progetto. I ragazzi di Zucconi Moto Design hanno ricostruito la moto quasi interamente. Il serbatoio è stato fatto a mano da José Zucconi, il telaio è stato modificato, le sospensioni e i freni aggiornati. La verniciatura, in cromo-nox, è stata fatta da Liqueri Special Paintings. Una volta finita, a causa della intensa luminosità della verniciatura, abbiamo chiamato la moto 'Shine'. "
